Red Angus win the prestigious Urquhart Trophy & Horden Trophy at Sydney Royal

The Grand Champion Red Angus Female, GK Red Ruba 26 G40 owned by Gavin and Kirrily Iseppi was sashed the winner of the 2017 Sydney Royal Easter Show Urquhart Trophy. She beat a Charolais bulls to claim the title.

In making his selection in the Horden Trophy judge Mr Robert Dixon from Alberta Canada commented that the quality of cattle represent genetics so incredible that they can be used world wide.

In speaking about the Red Angus pair, RDMG Red Solo Cup exhibited by RDM Angus and GK Red Ruba 26 G40 exhibited by GK Livestock, Mr Dixon said that the cow was so stunning, you can be from any breed and appreciate the quality that she represents. She demonstrates longevity. He said that the bull was a young herd sire, similar to the cow in type and showed great balance and structure.
