2017 Ausmectin National Sale Results
The 2017 Ausmectin Red Angus and Simmental National Show and Sale saw the two breeds coming together for a sale.
The sale was conducted by Landmark and Elders on Wednesday the 21st of June, with the genetic lots sold at the dinner the night before.
The results from the genetic lots were 1/6 sold, with lot 3: 10 straws of Red Lazy MC Cowboy Cut 26U offered by David & AShleigh Hobbs, selling for $130/straw.
The live lots sold Wednesday afternoon and resulted in 25 out of 28 bulls sold, with a top of $21000 for the Grand Champion Bull Goondoola Latitude L25, offered by the Powe Family, Cargo NSW. Bulls averaged $8120.
12 of the 16 females went under the hammer with the top price of $7500 for the Powe Family’s heifer Goondoola Cherry M04. Females averaged $5400.
The top price bull and female, as well as 2 other heifers, sold to Mr Ross Anderson from Wattylbee, Arding NSW.
The donation heifer, lot 60, Kingslane Sooky M1, kindly donated by Kingslane Red Angus, WA, sold for $5000 to Isaac Hobbs.
Across both breeds for the live lots, Auctionsplus has 2242 views on the online catalogue, 75 logged in bidders, 104 guests viewing the sale. 19 active bidders and a total of 65 online bids.
