Recent prices from around the country
In the last few weeks Red Angus and Red Angus X cattle have been making good prices.
At Toowoomba Sales, Greenwood Park heifers made 285c/kg. Averaged $1211.25/head. Steers sold for 340c/kg.
At Dubbo sale yards in mid February Pine Villa sold Red Angus steer. $413.2 for the top price and an average of $403.7 for 42 head of red angus steers. The average weight of 320kg.
Pine Villa heifers $365.5 averaged and sold to top of $369.2. Average weight of the heifers were 340kg. Milk tooth and have never seen grass from the time they were born. They were top price on the day.
In Western Australia at the first online only store cattle sale, making more than $700 was a draft of 84 mixed sex Red Angus and Droughtmaster cross calves aged 10-18months.
